Let’s first blame Anderson, left and right,
And then the politicians with no vision or sight.
Then the government officials who towed their line,
Then all those who make it a reason to sup and dine
In the sparkling interiors of the Nawab’s palace,
With twenty- six years following their sluggish pace.
We’ll even let the media raise a hue and cry,
And after some time, we’ll let the sleeping dogs lie.
Every year dignitaries will stream to the monster’s fort,
That gulped hundreds and hundreds down it’s throat.
They will look shocked as they jot down notes,
But this deluge will quell with the casting of votes.
We’ll then bask in the glory of global sympathy,
As the mangled and the maimed drown in poverty.
There are many things to fix, the problem can wait,
Let’s first fix the blame, otherwise it’ll be too late.
