My mother’s words always ring in my ears as I walk the corridors of my life, navigating its complexities and challenges. Sometimes I look back and say to myself- Jaspreet you can live your dream and also fly in your forties! Writing means the world to me and has been the proverbial torch guiding my life, taking me towards light every time I thought my world had collapsed. Charles Bukowski, Paulo Coelho, Elif Shafak, George Eliot, Ayn Rand, Sylvia Plath, Erica Jong, Wislawa Szymborska, Naomi Shihab Nye, Langston Hughes, Leonard Cohen, Pablo Neruda and several other poets and writers became oxygen for me. They resurrected me and gave me life, over and over again. They showed me that it was human to fall and heroic to rise every time I stumbled.
